“In your
light I learn how to love.
In your
beauty, how to make poems.
You dance
inside my chest,
where no
one sees you,
but
sometimes I do,
and that
light becomes this art.” -- Rumi
“Whatever it is, say
yes with your whole heart and simple as it sounds, that’s all the excuse life
needs to grab you by the hands and start to dance.” -- Story People, Brian Andreas
Musing…
Our theme for 2015 centers
around F----- words: features of engaging in the dance of
our creative spirit, partnering with Universe or life energy. This month: FIRE - we kindle that spark in our
imagination, say Yes, and life grabs us, dancing with our fire. Like the dancing northern lights!
Kate’s Turn:
I have been stoking my fire since winter solstice. At twilight, I light a candle, and sit in stillness, using a meditation that concentrates and builds my qi(chi) energy. As the external light fades, my internal light glows ever brighter. My 2015 intention is “creating form from light” – I trust that great power of imagination within me to spark a dreamseed. And when it’s fired open, I trust the Universe to align all I need to have it spring to life. And in the meantime, I surround myself with beauty and light, things I love, such as tulips, color, poetry. I’m making a watercolor mandala, working on a soul collage, generally, engaging with creativity. I will share how this fire dancing leads me into a new form of work or art or…….stay tuned.

non-being.” -- Lao-Tzu
Get Fired Up:
What feeds your fire? How can you engage with it consistently, kindling your passions? What has your imagination been “lighting” on lately?

was once only imagin’d.” -- William
