Musing...
“Whatever your eye falls on
- for it will fall on what you love - will lead you to the questions of your
life, the questions that are incumbent upon you to answer, because that is how
the mind works in concert with the eye. The things of this world draw us where
we need to go.”

Engaging in the essence of creativity (pure energy) is as simple as
engaging in what you love. This is both an internal and external process – paying
attention to what lights you up in your
heart (momentarily breathless, in awe and wonder, noticeably delighted),
and paying attention to what (activity,
beauty, compassion, daring, etc.) lights you up in your heart. Engaging in this light, immersing
yourself, creates the sweetness of life – this then can transform into the light that we offer to others.
Kate’s Turn:
Spring has finally arrived after an
extended hard winter, and I am SO de-lighted with its burst of new life. I drink in the perfume of blossoms
everywhere! I sink my hands into
the soil as I plant my garden. I
bathe my face and body in the warm sunshine. I revel in the cacophony of birdsongs. This food for my soul surely will
nourish me in where I need to go. For now, I simply can indulge….in de-light…eating light.
I can’t say it better than Mary Rose O’Reilley: “I can't get enough of watching the
bees and trying to imagine how they experience the abundance of, say, a blue
campanula blosssom, the dizzy light pulsing, every fiber of being immersed in
the flower...
Last night, after a day in the garden, I asked Robin to explain (again) photosynthesis to me. I can't take in this business of - eating light - and turning it into stem and thorn and flower...
I would not call this meditation, sitting in the back garden. Maybe I would call it eating light…. I'm going to sit here every day the sun shines and eat this light.”

Get Fired Up:
Simply follow your de-lights…engage in what you love…immerse
every fiber of your being in the sweetness of life…and notice how you light up!
