Musing…
"We are
intended to create. [We are] in
alignment with our true nature when we create."

The essence of creativity is energy. It is a mysterious
process, one that is believed to be outside of ourselves. The Muse is a personification of this
seemingly other-worldly source of inspiration – we get zapped from somewhere
with a brilliant idea. The truth
is the creative impulse is hardwired into us. We are born creative; it is our birthright, our true
nature. Our creative capacity lies
dormant within us, like a flicker of light, a spark of divinity; and, like the
eternal flame, it will never go out. When we Meet the Muse, we contact that divine spark and develop a
relationship with our creative self. We a-Muse, engage with, and experiment with it, kindling that divine flame
into an expression of our heartlight.
I have been fascinated with
and researching this subject – creativity – for over a year, and it seems as
though I’ve only touched on the tip of the iceberg. Creativity is an endless, renewable resource, our human
potential, a treasure within. Yet
few claim the ability to touch that living pulse of creativity within; this
seems to be left for “artists”. I’m
also reading about the Tao, a Chinese word meaning ‘way’ or ‘path’. Wikipedia states: “ Tao signifies the primordial essence or fundamental nature of the
universe. Tao is not a 'name' for a 'thing' but the underlying natural order of
the universe whose ultimate essence is difficult to circumscribe. Tao is thus 'eternally nameless' (Dao De Jing-32. Laozi)
and to be distinguished from the countless 'named' things which are considered
to be its manifestations."
While
Tao is essence of energy, Te is reception of this energy. Every creation, every life reflects
this mysterious transformation of formless energy into manifestation of
form. Through the process of
creating, we experience the vastness, power and vitality of this invisible
Presence. So our energy is
connected to a greater energy. This Source Energy, the Force, comes through us, not from us. We embrace Spirit as we move in the
current of its river. And, like a
seed, nurturing its growth and expansion will naturally result in manifestation
of its true nature – our true nature, our heartlight.
My
mission: to have everyone claim
their artist within - create a
life that speaks to what is sacred in them - and remove the lampshades in order to shine their
heartlight.
Get Fired Up:
Literally, fire up some candles, some ice globes, some
sparklers, and honor the essence of creativity within. Gaze upon the flame, until its essence
merges with your eternal flame within. Kindle your heartlight.
